Where Moments Become Art

Where Moments Become Art *

I’ve photographed over 300 weddings around the world under my brand and have spent the last decade immersed in this incredible industry — I’m honored to be recently named one of the top photographers in the US by the wed.

My style is instinctive and present — less about poses, more about preserving what you’ll never get back. My approach to weddings is rooted in intuition and connection.  My desire is to photograph the way it felt.

For me, wedding photography is where my love for fashion, feeling, and storytelling converge. It’s personal. It’s artful. And it’s always, always meaningful.

When I received my own wedding photos, everything clicked. I began to understand the deeper meaning behind what I do. This job is not just about documenting a beautiful day — it’s about preserving who you are in that exact moment in time. Some of the images from our wedding now hold memories of people who are no longer with us, and others capture the earliest pieces of the life my husband and I have built since. They are, quite literally, irreplaceable. That’s what I hope to create for every couple I photograph — images that feel like art, hold emotional weight, and carry your story forward long after the day has passed.

Our couples are not hiring us to photograph their wedding, they’re trusting us to interpret it. To move with intuition, to understand the emotion in the room, and to translate that into images that feel honest & timeless, but rooted in who they are right now.

Having the appropriate amount of hour coverage is essential to capturing all of the candid & precious moments during your event.

Sydney has cultivated the proposed timeline to perfectly cater to the requirements of your event. These packages & draft timelines are strongly recommended from a photography point of view, however, they can be customized if necessary in the future.

GETTING READY

Coverage would start at the tail end of the getting ready process. This is after hair and makeup is finished! If you and your partner are getting ready in separate locations or off site, we recommend 2 hours of coverage. But if you are getting ready at the venue/hotel, we would recommend 1.5 hours of coverage during this time.

1.5 HOURS getting ready coverage

PORTRAITS

We recommend 30 minutes for your first look + portraits around your venue + 30-40 minutes with your family & friends to capture portraits + candid moments in between prior to your ceremony IF you prefer to experience your cocktail hour. This allows a bit of creative liberation & time to soak all emotions in before the ceremony.

1.5 HOUR first look + immediate family photos

CEREMONY

20-30 MINUTES prep for ceremony

Photographers must prep their gear for the ceremony at least 20-30 minutes prior to start time. We like to photograph ceremony and reception details in natural light - this is typically when we shoot all details.

ceremony coverage

COCKTAILS, DINNER & DANCING

1 HOUR cocktail hour

We recommend our couples to join cocktail hour if possible - this allows us to photograph natural cozy moments between you and your guests. If a first look isn’t planned, we typically shoot your portraits during this time + any family photo combinations that need to be photographed prior to the reception.

3-4 HOURS reception coverage

Our couples typically book 3-4 hours of reception coverage. We recommend 3 hours if you do not have a specific exit planned.

recent testimonials:

  • Writing this review as I gush over our photo album that Sydney just delivered. Sydney is EXCEPTIONAL. Every photo was so beautiful. She has such an eye for detail and I feel she truly captured the spirit of my wedding day. Not only are the photos gorgeous but Sydney is such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She was available to answer all my questions and coordinated with my videographer. I am so so happy we went with Sydney and couldn't recommend her enough, and personally can't wait to work with her again!

  • I was initially captivated by Sydney Marie Co's poise, professionalism, and unique attention to detail when they photographed a wedding in which I was a bridesmaid. Fast forward years later, and Sydney Marie Co remained my first choice for photography. From our initial meeting to our continuous communication throughout the wedding planning process, I felt heard, understood, and confident that my wedding would be captured exactly as I had envisioned. Sydney and her team exceeded all expectations, bringing a sense of ease and calmness that allowed me to fully savor every moment of my wedding day. I didn't have to stress about getting the perfect shot or following a lengthy shot list, as I trusted Sydney Marie Co's keen ability to capture emotions and experiences in their work. Every time I revisit our photos, I am brought back to the feelings and experiences of the moments captured. The talent, dedication, and compassion of Sydney Marie Co is unmatched, and I am incredibly grateful to have worked with them.

  • I wish every bride was lucky enough to feel how I did receiving our wedding photos from Sydney— shocked, delighted and overcome with emotion. She is a true artist and captured our day even more beautifully than I could have imagined. As her work may speak for itself, it’s also worth noting that her and Nick’s energy is calm and positive, with my entire family noting what a wonderful sweet couple they are. Moreover, the documentary approach was exactly as I’d hoped for. They were carefully in the background, anticipating authentic moments and making everyone feel extremely comfortable around the camera. We skipped a first look, and I imagine we still posed for no more than 15-20 minutes throughout the entire day. She also gave us a preview of roughly 200 photos within a few days of the wedding which was an amazing treat.
